The Captiva Island Fire Control District, Inspection and Prevention Division, has the responsibility to provide a safe setting for its residents, visitors, business owners and their patrons through the education and enforcement of the Florida Fire Prevention Code.
The District provides fire inspection services, while educating on the benefits of fire safety and fire prevention. Fire Inspections are broken into three categories; new construction, on-going compliance, and re-inspection.

Captiva Island Fire Control District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
